Kirsten Wilton- Founder and Head Instructor
Kirsten is the primary instructor and deals with all of the client queries and research and board development. Kirsten grew up on the shores of Southern California and has spent her whole life on or in the water. In her younger days, Kirsten was a world class swimmer and it seemed fitting that she would have a career near the water. Stand up paddleboarding has added to list of achievements as a waterwoman.
She has been Stand Up Paddling for 7 years and has attended clinics and events overseas last year. She is an accomplished ocean athlete and has spent many hours on the harbours, waves, lakes and rivers with experienced guides, experimenting with different conditions, including white water SUP. Kirsten is one of a handful of women in New Zealand that are experienced in the whitewater on SUP and the only woman in Australasia to SUP the Waikato River ( 325kms) in 4 days to raise funds for a family in need at her surf club.
Kirsten has an extensive background in Competitive Swimming, Surf Lifesaving, Rowing and Surfing. She is a qualified and active senior Surf lifeguard for Omanu Beach and is also active in the Masters programme and has held a position on the Omanu Board of Directors for the past five years only handing it over in 2015 for new adventures. She has Level 1 and 2 First Aid and PHEC Certificates . Kirsten has her Level 1 & 2 and 3 SUP accreditation with Academy of Surfing Instructors, an international recognised accreditation. Kirsten designed all of our first season’s boards and overseas manufacturing. In 2011, Kirsten teamed up with local and world renowned shaper, Andy Jordan to design our current series of boards.
Lee Wilton-Co-founder and Instructor

About Andy Jordan, Our SUP Shaper
Andy was born 1963, in Tauranga, and surfing since 1974. Andy travelled overseas in his early years, making boards under the tutelage of Jim Carney at the Mount around 1985. Since then he’s lived at the Mount shaping boards and travelling overseas a couple of times a year testing designs and shaping overseas custom contracts. In 1990, Andy was a New Zealand team member at the World Champs and made multiple national final appearances. Andy has one National title under his belt. These days Andy would rather sponsor good surfers to compete, so he has time for business and family. Based in Tyne Street Mount Maunganui, Andy shapes quality custom made short and longboards. Andy Jordan has teamed up with Liquid Stixx to design Stand Up Paddleboards by extending his knowledge surfboard shaping forward to an emerging sport with great potential. Together they want to give New Zealanders and the rest of the world a great glide.
